 OXO was awarded the following by the North Atlantic Regional Conference:

  • Certificate of Participation “in recognition of notable Online Program Reporting,” October 14, 2017

  • Outstanding Chapter, 2008

  • Sisterhood Awards, 2006 and 2002
  • Cluster Winner of the Pink and Green Smoothie Challenge, April 2, 2016
  • Certificate of Recognition “for successful development of the chapter strategic plan” 2017 Leadership Seminar in Las Vegas, July 13 - 16, 2017


 The Montclair Branch of the NAACP presented two OXO sorors awards on November 2, 2018:

  • Mary Bentley-LaMar received the Julian Bond Community Service Award

  • Lynne Williams received the Tuskegee Armed Services Award
  • Dr. KorDai DeCoteau received the MLK Living the Dream Award presented by the Harlem Alphas on January 18, 2018.
  • Keshia Smith led the Omicron Xi Omega Chapter to win 2nd Place Overall Female In UNCF-New Jersey’s Walk for Education on September 22, 2018.
  • St. Mark’s United Methodist Church of Montclair presented the Omicron Xi Omega Chapter an award “in recognition of its outstanding work and commitment to Girls’ and Women’s Empowerment” in November 2018. St. Mark’s also presented OXO with awards in 2014 and 2008. And on April, 29, 2018, the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church Archives Project recognized then Omicron Xi Omega Chapter President Althia Tweiten for her generous support of the effort to place a headstone at the gravesite of Alice Hooe Foster, Founder of the Montclair YWCA for Colored Women in 1912.
